It builds the plugin

A new plugin for every idea you have, made from verified DSP blocks and a hand-picked design in a few minutes.

Play it right away

It opens on a simple screen you can play at once, and All controls shows every control on a page of its own design.

Keep changing it

Ask for a warmer sound, new presets or a MIDI file to drag into your track.

Questions

What can I make?

Synths and effects, each with its own controls and presets: basses, pads, leads, keys and bells, or reverb, delay and distortion. After one is built you can keep changing it and ask for new presets, and for an instrument you can ask for a MIDI file to drag into your DAW. It can’t clone voices or split a song into stems.

How much does it cost?

You start with a 3-day free trial of Pro, and after it Pro is $10 / month and makes about 20 instruments or effects a month. If you cancel before the first payment, you pay nothing.

Can I release music I make with it?

Yes, you can use your instruments in songs, videos, live shows and commercial releases. The one thing you can’t do is sell the instruments themselves.

Does the AI write my music?

No, AI builds the instrument and you make the music, though you can ask it for a short MIDI file as a starting point.

Which DAWs does it work in?

It’s a VST3 and AU plug-in, so it loads in Ableton Live, Logic Pro, GarageBand, FL Studio and most other DAWs, though not in Pro Tools.

Does it work offline?

Playing does, because your instruments are saved on your computer, but making a new one needs a connection.

What happens if I cancel Pro?

What you’ve made stays saved in your Studio 56 library, but it stops playing until you start Pro again. If you cancel in the free trial, before the first payment, you pay nothing.
